Sean Brennan, founder of APEX, believes the old saying is true:
"IF YOU CAN FIND SOMETHING YOU LOVE AND FIGURE OUT A WAY
TO MAKE MONEY DOING IT, YOU’LL ALWAYS BE HAPPY."
He had the making money part down pretty good. After many years as a successful attorney, something was still missing. “I spent 20 years of my 25-year career trying to figure out how to get out of practicing law, but wasn’t successful until 2017,” he says.
Serendipity, faith and friendship opened a window that let Sean merge his love for the outdoors into a business dedicated to helping others enjoy nature’s wide-open spaces too. "Opportunities to spend time outdoors are often rare—whether it’s hunting, fishing, camping, or tailgating—so you really want to make the most of it and create some special memories,” Sean says.
A lot of us know what it’s like to finish loading the SUV for a camping trip and close the hatch on a jam-packed vehicle only to see the cooler still sitting on the driveway. And how many buddies have been on a hunting trip only to discover their cooler has been stolen from the back of the truck.
That kind of stuff can spoil a trip pretty quickly,” Sean adds. “At APEX, we want to help people make the most of their outdoor experience, so we focus on solving problems people deal with when they’re spending recreational time outdoors or working outdoors.”
With innovative rotomolded coolers and racks that conveniently and securely transport coolers, the APEX team is proud that the U.S Patent and Trademark Office has bestowed several patents on the company’s signature cooling system. Yet, they never lose sight of what really matters.
“In a symbolic way, coolers are something people gather around,” Sean adds. “When you’re outdoors, coolers are the kitchen island of the outdoors where people share stories, laughs, drinks and food. Knowing that our company is helping make those good memories is really inspirational.”
